Turkey Trot & the Thanksgiving Eucharist

Allie, Paul +, and Jayson plan to run the Turkey Trot this year with some other members of the cathedral. Let one of us know if you want to join us. It is the morning of Thanksgiving Day.

It does not conflict with the Thanksgiving Eucharist of the cathedral. That Eucharist has been moved to 5:45 pm on the prior Wednesday night, and for those of you who love incense, it is going to be a Solemn Choral Eucharist.

All Parish Thanksgiving Feast

All 20s/30s are encouraged to sign up for the All-Parish Thanksgiving Potluck on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm. Kate is one of the people heading up this event, and we hope to have broad support from many people across the parish. Signup sheets should be in the narthex and the Walker Room as of this Sunday, so take some time to sign up for either a salad, main dish, dessert, or soft drinks/wine.

The Girls Choir sings evensong at 5:45 pm on Wednesdays, so come early for that if you desire.

All Souls' Requiem & the Sabres

On Friday, November 2, the we will attend the cathedral’s All Souls’ Requiem at 7:30 pm. The setting for this Eucharist is Gabriel Faure's beloved Requiem. The Cathedral Choir of Men and Girls will sing. Many of you attended last year, and have mentionned to go as a group this year. The All Souls' Requiem is an annual event of the cathedral at which the names of those buried from St. Paul's during the past year are read during the prayers. This reading of the names of the departed is called the necrology.

For those of you who are Sabres fans, after the Eucharist, we will gather to go to a local pub to watch the rest of the game. All 20s/30s are invited.
