Hi friends,

Just a reminder of a few upcoming events.

1.) This Sunday we gather for Choral Evensong at 3:00 pm, and then we go to North Restaurant for a social gathering around 4:00 pm. Join us at the restaurant if you can not make Evensong. North is on North Street, between Irving and Delaware Avenue.

2.) On Saturday, January 26, some of us are going to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the Ice Wine Festival. We depart from Jim and Jason's place at 10:00 am. Let me or Kate know if you are coming.

3.) Friday, February 1 is the Candlemas Eucharist for raising awareness of the Millennium Development Goals. This is one of the most beautiful services of the year, complete with candlelighting. I hope some of you can attend.

4.) Sunday, February 3 is the Pancake Breakfast. Buy your tickets from a chorister on Sundays. There will be two seatings--one at 10:00 am and one at 12:15 noon.

5.) Ash Wednesday and Lent come early this year. On Ash Wednesday we will gather as usual for oatmeal in the Walker Room at 7:00 am before fasting for the remainder of the day. Tha parish is having its soup supper after the 6:00 pm Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes, so come and join us for that too.

6.) The 20s/30s Group will be meeting for a Lenten Study on Wednesday nights this Lent from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. We will gather at Starbucks at the corner of Chippewa and Delaware for the first time on Wednesday, February 13. Allie and Jason are coordinating this study, and for the future sessions we will meet at people's homes.
